From coffee houses to concert halls Matt York has made a name for himself as one of Canada’s most dedicated independant artists.
After the release of his debut album “Under the Streetlights” in 2005, Matt set out on the road with his band playing anywhere they’d get gas money and a hot meal. Over the next two years, this “get it done” attitude along with some killer live shows saw Matt sharing stages with such acts as G. Love and Special Sauce, Percy Hill, State Radio, Andy Stochansky, Nine Mile, The Alternate Routes and Tomi Swick as well as rocking venues across North America. Matt’s recent signing with Entak/Universal brought his music to Japan in 2006. Matt is currently working on his follow-up album slated for release in early 2008.
